Isolating the fire is particularly important for fire prevention in enclosed public or private buildings of any kind.
The standard firefighting approach for cars with combustion engines is still to use large amounts of water and possibly other additives to make tackling the fire even possible in the first place. The water used to extinguish the fire has to be disposed of subsequently at great expense.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - FAQ
ECELL GUARD continuously monitors the protected parking space - even if no staff are present in person. The response in case of fire is swift, with a fire blanket deployed over the affected vehicle within seconds.
Without ECELL GUARD: two people are normally required to deploy a fire blanket of this kind. Furthermore, the cramped conditions in a multi-storey car park make it difficult to act quickly.
There should be nobody in the deployment area when the device is triggered. Acoustic and optical warning signals clearly indicate the impending blanket deployment. In addition, highly visible signs should be put up instructing people to leave the danger area if the alarm goes off.
We have tested this - the fire blanket sinks gently over the vehicle and no damage is expected. However, it is unlikely that the device will be mistakenly triggered. If this does happen, we recommend that you do not pull the blanket off the vehicle on your own as this can leave marks.
Each parking space will need its own wall cassette. The fire alarm system can manage up to 30 parking spaces.
HOW CAN YOU MAKE SURE THAT A PARKED VEHICLE IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION?
The system includes spacers to ensure correct vehicle positioning.
The ecell-guard system requires a 230 V connection.
It is also equipped with a backup battery (16 A fuse) to ensure it still functions in the event of a power failure. This is sufficient to set off the alarm and trigger the blanket deployment mechanism.
ecell-guard can also be installed in your private garage.
The minimum dimensions for the relevant parking space are LWH 5 x 2.5 x 2 m.
