The automated protection solution for lithium-ion battery fires.

Protecting people, buildings and the environment is the top priority in the event of a fire. Vehicles fitted with lithium-ion batteries place particular demands on the fire-fighting process: as soon as the ecell-guard sensor system detects an incipient battery fire, the system is triggered and deploys the blanket over the vehicle within seconds. The blanket smothers the flames, contains extreme heat and channels any pyrolysis gases that are produced out of the vehicle in a controlled manner – all fully automatically, without human intervention. The insulation protects against collateral damage to buildings and nearby vehicles and safeguards the lives and safety of emergency services personnel.

Protek began operations in Istanbul in 2005. Today, the company works directly as an importer with more than 15 ‘manufacturers’ and ‘suppliers’ in 10 different countries. It maintains liaison offices in London and Baku.
